
| Kid’s Day at the Lee Co. Fair Kid’s Day will be held on Thursday July 10th from 1 – 5 pm at the Lee Co. Fairgrounds in Donnellson, Iowa. There will be a number of extra exhibitors at the fair on this day featuring demonstrations, displays and giveaways for children of all ages. The event is sponsored by the Keokuk Area Hospital and Fort Madison Community Hospital. Special Shows!! The Steve Couch Show 1 pm & 4 pm Steve performs his fun & exciting original songs to promote reading, exercise, diversity, self esteem, drug awareness and more! Totally interactive! Creepy Crawlies 2:30 pm only Find out why hissing cockroaches hiss, count the legs on a giant millipede, see how furry a giant tarantula really is and feel a snakes scales. This demonstration is guarenteed to fascinate and creep-out you out. This event is sponsored by the Donnellson Public Library and is different that the bug event that was so widely enjoyed last year. Seat Belt Simulator Demo See what seat belts do to save lives. The Iowa Highway Patrol will have a simulator with test dummies to show the effects of seat belts in a rollover crash. Demonstrations will be held throughout the afternoon. Special Event! Presidential Election The Lee Co. Auditor Office is Hosting a Mock Election for Kids! Each child will register, be given a ballot, enter the voting booths and then cast their vote for president. 1 - 4 pm with winner announced at 5 pm |
