PIONEER VILLAGE
New in 2009

One Room School House

an authentic one-room school house
originally located in Veile, Iowa,
once a small pioneer town
just south of Fort Madison.

The school house was moved to Minerville
where it was part of the Dave Miner family's historic village.

Thanks to the Miner's & Vision Iowa,
The Lee Co Fair is able to help keep their dream alive.
It is now a permanent part of the Lee Co. Fairgrounds.

The school house will be restored over the next few years.
Donations of period materials & old photographs of the classes and school house are
greatly appreciated.

Notice:
Due to the wet spring the General Store, Jail and Barber Shop will not be open for the
2009 fair. However, the plan is to have it open for Apple Daze in Donnellson this
September.
